As part of a joint humanitarian initiative, the Ruslan Shostak Charitable Foundation and the Vukhastyk brand have delivered hygiene kits to family-type children’s homes in the Kyiv region. The aid is directed toward families raising orphans and children deprived of parental care.
Today, dozens of family-type children’s homes operate across the Kyiv region, housing hundreds of children. Each home cares for up to 10 children between the ages of 1 and 18 — and in some cases, up to age 23 if they are enrolled in higher education. These families rely not only on emotional support but also on consistent access to basic household necessities, which are key to maintaining stability and care.
Each hygiene kit was designed to meet the monthly needs of a large family and includes laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids, personal care products, and home cleaning supplies.
The Kyiv Regional Center for Social Services played a vital role in the initiative, coordinating the needs assessment and ensuring the organized delivery of aid directly to the families. Thanks to this well-coordinated effort, the kits reached exactly where they were needed most.
