AFINA Group has responded to information released by the Office of the Prosecutor General regarding the exposure of an illegal production facility in Kharkiv manufacturing counterfeit household chemicals, including products sold under the guise of well-known brands, among them Vukhastyk.
We are grateful to law enforcement authorities for promptly identifying and stopping the illegal operation.
The company strongly condemns any form of product counterfeiting. International practice shows that counterfeit versions of well-known brands are a widespread issue that law enforcement agencies systematically combat. Such activities not only violate the law but may also pose risks to consumers, as these products do not undergo the necessary quality and safety checks.
The company has submitted an official request to law enforcement authorities to obtain detailed information regarding the identified cases. We are ready to fully cooperate with the investigation, including providing a comprehensive comparative analysis of the seized counterfeit samples to confirm their non-compliance with the original products. Retention samples of each production batch are stored by the manufacturer and can be used for comparative testing to verify product authenticity and identify counterfeit goods based on organoleptic and physico-chemical characteristics.
The company’s products fully comply with all safety requirements and are safe for use, including in households with children. The enterprise operates a product traceability system: each production batch undergoes conformity assessment by a state standardization and metrology body, resulting in a declaration and a certificate of conformity.
The exposure of the illegal production facility is the result of effective work by law enforcement authorities, and we sincerely welcome this outcome.
