On September 20, Ukraine joined more than 190 countries in celebrating World Cleanup Day, the world’s largest civic initiative that unites millions of people each year in a shared commitment to cleanliness and a sustainable future. On this day, thousands of volunteers take to the streets to make their communities cleaner and more livable.
This year, SARMIX, a household care brand owned by AFINA Group, became the exclusive partner of the initiative in Ukraine. Reflecting its mission of bringing order not only to homes but also to communities, AFINA Group teams took part in cleanup activities across seven cities: Dnipro, Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, and Kropyvnytskyi.
Together, volunteers collected more than 45 tons of waste and cleaned over 120 hectares of land — from parks and squares to riverbanks and recreational areas. This collaboration showcased the power of people and businesses working side by side to create a cleaner environment.

World Cleanup Day has been held annually since 2018 as part of the Let’s Do It World movement. In 2025, more than 60 million people around the globe joined the initiative. Ukraine remains an active participant, proving that collective action can transform cities and create a more comfortable living environment.
