To Mark Trade Workers’ Day, AFINA Group Donates UAH 1 Million to Support Wounded Soldiers in Hospitals

July 28, 2025

AFINA Group, a leading Ukrainian operator in the fields of distribution and logistics, traditionally marks Trade Workers’ Day not with celebrations, but with meaningful actions aimed at helping those who need it most. This year, the company has launched a large-scale initiative to support military personnel undergoing treatment in hospitals across Ukraine.

The “Care Boxes” project is focused on providing practical assistance to defenders during their recovery — as a tangible gesture of gratitude and care. All AFINA Group branches and departments are involved in the initiative. Each unit independently selects medical facilities in their region where wounded soldiers are being treated, assembles personalized care boxes, and delivers them directly to the hospitals. Every box is designed to meet basic daily hygiene and personal care needs. In total, up to 3,000 care boxes are expected to be distributed nationwide.

A distinctive feature of this initiative is the deep personal involvement of AFINA Group employees. Each team member has redirected their “holiday” budget to support the project, participating in the preparation, coordination, and delivery of the boxes — taking pride in celebrating their professional holiday in such a meaningful way.

Olena Sobolieva, HR Director of AFINA Group:
“I’m sincerely grateful to our colleagues across all regions who supported the initiative, and I’m proud of every employee. Their attitude, personal contribution, and willingness to help others is a true reflection of maturity and respect.
This year, our contribution means 3,000 care sets for more than 30 hospitals — prepared with care and dedication by each member of AFINA Group.”

This marks the second consecutive year that AFINA Group celebrates Trade Workers’ Day not with formal ceremonies, but with targeted aid. In 2023, the company launched the “Million for the Armed Forces” initiative, allocating funds to support combat brigades with drones, radios, electronic warfare systems, and other essential equipment.

AFINA Group remains committed to social responsibility and continues to actively support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the civilian population, and its own employees currently defending the country. Each care box is not only practical help — but a heartfelt message of gratitude to those who protect our right to peace.
