Borysfen-Trade is a Ukrainian manufacturer of canned wet food for cats and dogs, operating since 2021. It is the first specialized facility of its kind in Ukraine, located in the Cherkasy region, with a fully closed production cycle and the use of domestically sourced ingredients.
The factory is equipped with modern European production lines and an in-house laboratory to ensure strict quality control of both raw materials and finished products. Covering 6,000 square meters, the facility is capable of producing over 100 million cans of pet food per year. The company is certified under ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000, confirming compliance with international standards of food quality and safety.
Borysfen-Trade offers a wide range of premium and super-premium products, including pâtés, meat chunks, and pouch-packed meals. Its own brand, Carnie, features grain-free recipes with a high meat content, tailored to meet the nutritional needs of cats and dogs of different ages.
During the war, the company rapidly expanded production to include canned meat for human consumption under the Kaniville brand, supplying military units and humanitarian aid efforts. Currently, pet food makes up around 20% of the factory’s output, with the remainder dedicated to human food production, significantly boosting overall capacity.
The factory is equipped with its own heavy machinery, including deboning equipment, ensuring full control over ingredient sourcing and processing. Borysfen-Trade is also among the first Ukrainian brands authorized to export pet food.
